Central Wire participates in this very demanding market by supplying premium quality cold heading wire to the many cold headers producing cold-formed parts and fasteners. Wire is supplied both from our large manufacturing plant in Union, Illinois and from our Service Center located in Perris, California. Quality level expectations for these parts are very high and our wire is manufactured to meet these strict requirements. Our raw material first undergoes a rigorous surface scalping or peeling operation, designed to remove the outer skin from the starting rod material. This rigorous metal removal strips away rolling imperfections and leaves a smooth, seam-free finish. Coupled with our full range of wire coatings, this seam free operation helps to make our wire cold form with ease into uniform, defect free parts.

Central Wire’s lineup of alloys such as Alloy 685, also called Waspalloy, 718, 600, 400, K-500, A-286, 13-8Mo, and other grades are available to the aerospace market with quick delivery and a service staff ready to help with your process and design needs.
