Stainless steel spring wire from Central Wire remains unequalled in consistency of tensile strength, size, tolerance, and non-metallic coating. Spring makers find our wire to have excellent coil-ability, resulting in very tight dimensional accuracy. Wire surface finish can range from satin to very bright with coatings of non-metallic soap, wax, copper plate plus soap, or nickel coat plus soap choices for lubrication.

Our spring wire plant, located in Union, Illinois, has been producing high quality stainless steel spring wire, and nickel alloy spring wire for over fifty years. We maintain a long history of loyal customer satisfaction. Wire sizes ranging from 0.031” to over 0.625” are commonly available with custom sizes available on an individual basis.

Wire coatings include the option of Techalloy Techcote, which has been a mainstay coating in the stainless spring market for over 50 years, previously as Techalloy now as Central Wire. Spring wire is manufactured to specifications including ASTM A-313, AMS-5678 AMS- 5688 and ASTM A-493.
